Mets need to slam Brew’s tonight

To me, tonight feels like a huge game for the Mets. With a .500 record almost in reach, a win tonight would really start some chatter. Mike Pelfrey takes the hill looking for his first win in his last 5 starts. The often streaky Pelfrey needs to step up tonight and show he is the ace of the staff. Big Pelf hasn’t beaten the Brew Crew since July 1st, 2009 so it looks like now is the time. If I were a betting man, I would load up on New York tonight. It’s just about time they won a big game, right?

Opposite Pelfrey is Randy Wolf who hasn’t lost against the Mets in his last 11 starts. Wolf is 4-4 this season but has a solid 3.69 ERA, he is winless in his last two starts. Look for the visiting Mets to stack up their line up all right handed hitters; starting Evans at 1st and Paulino behind the dish. Also, maybe Jason Bay can get something going tonight, he has a career .500 (5 for 10) batting average against Wolf with a home run and 2 walks. Watch for a low scoring hard nosed ball game, with both pitchers going deep into the game.
