Kaka To Sao Paulo?

According to reports in the Spanish media on Tuesday, Kaka’s wife says that the former World Footballer of the Year is set to return to Brazil,

Caroline Celico told Brazilian magazine RG that she and her husband had no plans to move anywhere else.

“We are planning the return to Sao Paulo with all the family,” Celico said. “If Kaka leaves Madrid we will not go to any other country.”

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has made it clear that Kaka should find a new club, but the Spanish champions reportedly want an outright sale rather than a loan deal. AC Milan were interested in re-signing their former player, but the Brazilian’s €9 million annual salary is far more than the cash strapped Serie A side can afford.

With few other potential buyers around, speculation in Madrid-based newspaper AS on Tuesday claimed that an arrangement could be found for the former Ballon D’Or winner to return to a club in his home country.

Kaka  spent three seasons at Sao Paulo before moving to Milan in 2003. He has not played for Madrid this season, and the €37 million arrival of Luka Modric has seen him drop even further down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.
