Many fans of golf will be eagerly awaiting the British Open this month, but there is yet another treat awaiting those who are heading to St. Andrews to enjoy the golf this July. It has been announced that the Champion Golfers Challenge will be taking place on the Old Course at St. Andrews on 15th July, and this event will see Champion Golfers with Open wins that span more than sixty years coming together to take part in the challenge.
There will be twenty eight Champion golfers taking part in this exciting challenge, which will provide golf fans with even more excitement. The Champions have notched up forty five victories between them in the Open, which is the oldest championship in Golf. The Chief Executive of The R&A stated in an interview that the event was set to be a wonderful one for both the golfing fans who make it to St. Andrews and those who watch the golfing action at home on the TVs and smart devices. While many who are not attending the event will be disappointed that they are unable to get to St. Andrews to enjoy the excitement in person, fans will be able to catch up on the latest golfing news and information from the Old Course via their TV screens and through apps such as the Coral app if they are on the move.
