David Quinn was officially announced as the 35th head coach of the New York Rangers yesterday. He will be introduced to the media at an 11:30 a.m. ET press conference this morning. Quinn, who has been at the Terriers’ helm for the past five seasons, is the third former Terrier currently coaching an NHL team, joining the Penguins’ Mike Sullivan and the Devils’ John Hynes.  Two other Terriers have previously coached NHL teams: Joe Sacco with Colorado and Steve Stirling with the Islanders.  More to follow
