2019 recruit Liam Gorman scored a power-play goal and 2020 Liam Connors recorded an assist for the Boston Junior Eagles who were eliminated by Northwood Prep, 6-3, in the Tier 1, 18U quarterfinals. Gorman was a sixth-round pick of Pittsburgh in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. In the 14U Division, Honeybaked, with 2022 recruit Lane Hutson, was eliminated by Pittsburgh in the quarterfinals.
In Saturday’s OHL Priority Draft, 2021 recruit Danny Zhilkin was selected in the first round by Guelph (14th overall) and reports indicate he’ll play in the OHL. Roman Schmidt, who was selected in the second round by Kitchener, has indicated he’ll play for the NTDP U17s next season. Two other BU 2021 commits, Tyler Boucher and Wilmer, were selected by Ottawa in later rounds. Both will join Schmidt on the NTDP U17s next season.
