Jurgen Klopp has heaped huge praise on the entire Reds squad following the victory against Arsenal at Anfield, which was a 12th consecutive league win he has seen his players produce, including a nine-match run at the end of the last campaign.
The Reds ran rampant for a period as they took the game to the Gunners and built a 3-0 lead at Anfield, with Lucas Torreira’s late goal a mere consolation.
Jurgen Klopp proudly boasted that he ‘loved’ his Liverpool side’s performance in their 3-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday.
When asked if he was delighted with his team’s display, Klopp told reporters afterwards:
“Absolutely, that’s what you can ask for, that’s what you should expect, that’s what you want to see and the boys did it.
“Again on an incredible level, when we are like this, we are difficult to play.
“We played a really strong Arsenal side in a good moment, but we were in charge of the game.
“We had a little bit to adapt to the system which surprised us obviously but we adapted well…
“So yes, I loved it, I loved the passion, the whole atmosphere again so early in the season having this kind of atmosphere in the stadium is just incredible and I’m really happy.”
Joel Matip put Liverpool 1-0 up before half time, with Mo Salah striking twice in the early stages of the second half.
Despite the Egyptian claiming the majority of the plaudits once again, Klopp was keen to praise his whole team starting with his midfielders.
The manager continued: “I’m not famous for not praising Hendo, but what the three midfielders did today was incredible.
“Fabinho, Gini, wow. Just it was the right midfield I think for today.
“We did what we had to do, the boys were football wise spot on and work rate wise somewhere else, it’s just incredible.
“The offensive players, Mo scored two goals so he’ll have the headlines, that’s normal.
“But how hard Bobby and Sadio work, it’s unbelievable. That makes us an uncomfortable opponent.
“That’s what we want to be and, if we are that, then we can win football games.”
