2011 NHL Award Winners

The NHL Awards were handed out at The Palms in Las Vegas Nevada. Comedian Jay Mohr served as host for the second straight year. His jokes poked innumerable fun at the expense of the Edmonton Oilers, who said “win 30 games and you won’t be in the monologue next year.” He poked fun at Alexandre Burrows, the Vancouver riots, Tim Thomas, and many others.

Here are the winners for this year:

Norris Trophy (Most Outstanding Defenseman): Nicklas Lindstrom, Detroit Red Wings

Art Ross Trophy (Regular Season Scoring Leader): Daniel Sedin, Vancouver Canucks

Mark Messier Leadership Award: Zdeno Chara, Boston Bruins

Selke Trophy (Best Defensive Forward): Ryan Kesler, Vancouver Canucks

Jack Adams Award (Coach of the Year): Dan Bylsma, Pittsburgh Penguins

Calder Trophy (Rookie of the Year): Jeff Skinner, Carolina Hurricanes

Jennings Award (Fewest Goals Allowed): Roberto Luongo/Corey Schneider, Vancouver Canucks

GM of the Year: Mike Gillis, Vancouver Canucks

Rocket Richard Trophy (Most Regular Season Goals): Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks

Ted Lindsay Award (MVP as Voted by the Players): Daniel Sedin, Vancouver Canucks

Bill Masterton Trophy (Perseverance and Dedication to Hockey): Ian Laperriere, Philadelphia Flyers

King Clancy Award (Leadership and Humanitarian Contributions): Doug Weight, New York Islanders

Lady Byng Award (Skillful and Gentlemanly Play): Martin St. Louis, Tampa Bay Lightning

Vezina Trophy (Top Goalie): Tim Thomas, Boston Bruins

Hart Trophy (MVP): Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks
