The 13th-ranked Maryland Terrapins used a second half surge to beat the Bryant Bulldogs 84-70 at an ecstatic Xfinity Center.

The Terps were led by senior Anthony Cowan Jr. who finished with 19 points and four assists.

Jalen Smith had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds for Maryland.

Aaron Wiggins added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Terps who improved to (11-2).

The game also featured the long awaited debut of 7′ 2″ center Chol Marial who finished with six points and five rebounds in limited action.

Maryland had a lead of 52-42 at the 10:10 mark of the second half and never trailed again.

The lead expanded to 72-52 with 2:48 to go and the Terps coasted from there.

The game was a contest in the first half as Maryland took a 36-31 lead into the break.

Maryland shot 47 percent from the field and made seven of 14 from the three-point line.

They made 25 of 32 free throws and won the rebounding battle 48-16.

Meanwhile, Bryant shot 43 percent from the field and made 10 of 28 shots from beyond the arc.

Bryant was led by Adam Grant who scored 25 points and Ikenna Ndugba added 18 points and six assists in a losing effort for the (8-5) Bulldogs.
